Use duplication when you want a new campaign based on a known source. Ask the assistant to inspect the source and supported duplication method before creating a copy.

Identify the source and intended differences

Provide the platform, account, exact source campaign, new name, reason for the copy, intended budget, dates, and changes. If names repeat, resolve the source ID before proceeding.

Review what carries over

Compare objectives, bid strategy, budgets, schedules, targeting, placements, identity, destination URLs, creative, and measurement. Ask the assistant to identify unsupported or reset fields. A new name does not establish that every other setting is identical. Check date-sensitive settings and account-specific assets carefully, especially when considering a different destination account. Do not assume every platform or campaign type supports the same copy behavior.

Verify the copy

After approving creation, request a list of new and source IDs and actual statuses. Confirm parent-child relationships and the intended differences in the platform. Check that the source campaign remains as intended and the new copy is paused. If only part of the copy succeeded, inspect what exists before retrying. Ask for a completion proposal that reuses successful entities rather than blindly creating the entire copy again. For any later activation or budget change, use a new change review.
